DaBecca was a small, heritage brand with a loyal following in the Midwest. A family-run operation with deep roots in tradition, it was known for crafting distinctive, artisanal meat products in small batches. After a buyout, the brand’s packaging needed a refresh to help it reach a broader audience with the goal of expanding into large supermarket chain stores for greater visibility.

The decision was made to revise the packaging sizes and introduce an innovative packaging option. Rather than offering smaller packs, the new packaging would feature two 14-ounce units per package, all under a single label. This approach provides customers with a full 2.25 pounds of meat at a more affordable price, while still offering the convenience of smaller portions. The packaging design became more transparent, allowing buyers to clearly see the quality of the meat. This was a huge improvement over the previous opaque packaging that didn't allow buyers to see the quality of the cuts. To further enhance the consumer experience, the new design includes color-coded labels for different flavors. Careful attention was given to maintaining the integrity of the brand’s logo and overall identity.
