Kate Frank was the kind of person who found a way to pivot through life whenever it threw her a curveball. She'd made a name for herself as a successful real estate agent in Texas, navigating the unpredictable highs and lows of the market with ease. As the real estate industry’s rollercoaster crawled to a halt, Kate had another talent up her sleeve.
Writing had been a quiet passion of hers — a skill she'd honed over the years without realizing the potential it had. Much like working with clients in real estate, she found herself understanding people’s desires and translating them into action. She was a natural at figuring out the right words to guide them to a sale. That skill proved to be the perfect launchpad for her ghostwriting career.
Kate became a ghostwriter, transforming other people's ideas into polished, publishable content. And here’s the thing: she didn’t get credit for any of it. The credit always went to the "author," the one whose name appeared on the cover. Kate was just fine with that. Like the Wizard of Oz, she was the one pulling the strings, making magic happen without anyone knowing.
She became incredibly prolific — penning over 15 titles (okay, technically, someone else’s titles, but still). It was an impressive feat for someone who had transitioned from real estate to full-time ghostwriting. Kate was the one who could sift through the mess of other's thoughts and help shape them into a book, article, or social media campaign.
She decided to turn her skills into a coaching program for budding authors. She came across so many individuals with potential but unsure how to bring their stories to life. Her program wasn’t just about writing — it was about pulling the heart and soul out of someone's idea and giving it a voice.
Kate Frank wanted her website to serve dual purposes: attract clients for ghostwriting and help budding authors who couldn’t afford a full-time writer. With many of her books in the self-help genre, she aimed to position herself as a literary life coach. The site needed to showcase her services — seminars, one-on-one coaching, and book idea analysis — along with a list of her previous books and links to purchase them.
Kate had tried building the site herself but found it overwhelming and time-consuming, which pulled her away from her true passion —writing and editing. I was asked to step in and make it happen, creating a site that was both functional and aligned with her vision. I executed the designs as well as provide the backend integration for messaging and links for sales. Along with site, I provided video editing for her blog and YouTube channel.
